All the best for 2021

I don’t know about you, but to this day I still sometimes shake my head and can hardly comprehend the situation and don’t know what to believe anymore. Who would have thought this 12 months ago?

One thing is for sure, 2020 is definitely coming to an end now; whether 2021 will really be that much different remains to be proven. In any case, my team and I are looking forward to expected and unexpected challenges.

I was particularly pleased with the “Tasting Panel” event. Many thanks to all members who sent in their tasting notes. It is exciting to see how differently the individual members have assessed the same whisky. It is now up to me to compile the final version from all the notes; suspense until September 2021 when we can hold the bottles in our hands.

As you have noted we did not market any Burns Supper for January 2021. The situation was simply too uncertain, be it because of the opening hours of the restaurants or whether and under what circumstances Robin Laing could come to Switzerland at all. But I assure you, postponed is not abandoned.

A big thank you for the loyalty you have shown to the Society’s bottlings; I hope we have been able to offer you a little distraction now and then. As a little Christmas surprise, you will now find nine brand new bottlings on our web shop – have fun discovering them.
