Get into the wood stuff

I am delighted to present you our latest Outturn edition. Once again it is packed with news and information about the Society.

Alongside the latest Creators Collection – The Elgin Marvels – and Batch 42: Highland Peaty Potion, you will also find a few absolute rarities in the current Outturn. A classic bottling from a distillery we rarely see: 33.141: Kickstart your taste buds, or the 125.81: Tranquil picnic. Fans of the Welsh distillery 128 can look forward to the 164.3: Strawberry sweetshop implosion. Same distillery but different stills – 128 distilled once in a Faraday still and 164 double distilled in pot stills.

One final memento is the bottling 53.527: Seraphic sea symphony. A bottling in honour and in memory of Robin Laing, who passed away last December and who delighted many members with his music and his stories, here in Switzerland too. One last dram to him!

At the end of October we will once again be taking part in The Swiss Whisky Festival in Baden, on 30 and 31 October, and Olaf Meier will be visiting us again this year. On Saturday at 6 p.m. he will host a tasting. You can book tickets directly through the festival: whisky-festival.ch/seminare

All tasting dates through the end of the year are organised as well. At the moment there are still places almost everywhere, and I am already looking forward to meeting many members and their guests in person again.

Continue to enjoy the summer!
