Cover Outturn 2610

GET INTO THE PEATY STUFF

With this Outturn we are already moving into the fourth quarter of the year! Our agenda has plenty in store – but let us take things one at a time.

Next up is The Swiss Whisky Festival in Baden. We will be there again, and you will have the opportunity to discuss all current bottlings at your leisure and to talk to Olaf Meier, SMWS Ambassador. On Saturday, Olaf will also hold a masterclass at 6pm – tickets are available on the festival website.

Several of our usual tastings are scheduled between now and the end of the year, and also the dates for 2027 are already online.

In January we will once again be organising our traditional Burns Supper. The feedback from last year was consistently positive, and Andreas Winkler and Michael Winkler will again provide the musical setting for the evening, accompanied by our piper Silvio Unternährer.

In the fourth quarter we also start thinking about Christmas. We will again be producing our popular whisky calendar, and perhaps you have already considered giving a good friend a membership with us.

Finally, it is of course also about whisky. The latest Creators Collection, entitled Peat Plants III: A dreamlike journey into the realm of smoke, holds a few extraordinary bottlings in store, among them a 30-year-old bottling from distillery 27.

In the Heresy small batch series, the leading role this time goes to barriques that once held Tokaji, the historic Hungarian sweet wine: Batch 43: Noble drop.

These are of course only a few of the highlights; alongside them there are, naturally, no less exciting bottlings to discover.

I hope you enjoy reading, and send my warmest regards
