Have you already had your summer holidays? Or are they still ahead of you? Either way, the latest issue of our Outturn offers you a variety of reading material.
With each new edition of Collectors Creation, we present new topics related to Scottish whisky. This time, we take a look at worm tubs – those old-fashioned condensers that are only used in a few distilleries but produce a very specific type of whisky.
In addition to these three bottlings, the two bottlings 35.408: Flamenco dancer meets a
ballerina and 46.160: Full Scottish desayuno particularly caught my eye – especially if you like Oloroso and PX casks.
New bottlings are not affected by the OBE effect. Nevertheless, it is still exciting to explore this topic. Perhaps you too have a bottle or two that you have been saving for a special moment. After a few years, it could be affected by the OBE effect. It is interesting to read that even experienced experts disagree. Perhaps it is a bit like God – you can believe in it, but its existence cannot be scientifically proven.
What is certain, however, are our tasting dates until the end of the year. As every year after the summer break, I look forward to meeting many members and their guests in person and discussing the latest bottlings.
You can also already add the new dates for the Swiss Whisky Festival in Baden to your diary – this year it will take place on 24 and 25 October. Olaf Meier will be visiting us again and you will have the opportunity to taste our current bottlings.
Enjoy reading and best regards
